Get started
- Pin the extension: click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the Chrome toolbar, then click the pin next to LoadAlarm.
- Open your load board in a tab and sign in. Run the load search you want to watch.
- Click the LoadAlarm icon, then click Set up this site. When Chrome asks to let the extension read and change data on the site, click Allow. The extension asks only for that site.
- Click Find automatically. The extension finds the refresh button and the load count, and outlines them on the page. If it picks the wrong thing, use Pick next to that step and click the right element on the page.
- Click Test. The extension clicks refresh once and shows the count it read.
- Click Start monitoring.
No count on your board? Use Pick a row instead. Click one load in the list, and the extension counts every row like it.
Load boards it works with
The extension doesn’t need built-in support for a board. You show it the refresh button (or search button) and the place where the board shows the number of loads, and it works from there. That includes:
- Load boards such as DAT One, Truckstop, and 123Loadboard.
- Broker carrier portals such as C.H. Robinson Navisphere Carrier, J.B. Hunt Carrier 360, RXO Connect, Arrive Logistics ARRIVEnow Carrier, Uber Freight, Schneider FreightPower, and Landstar.
- Any other site with a refresh or search button and either a load count or a list of loads.
You can monitor several boards at once, each in its own tab, each with its own interval and alert tone.
LoadAlarm isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any load board or broker. Their names are trademarks of their owners and appear here only to describe compatibility. Some boards limit how often you can refresh. Check your board’s terms and use an interval that follows them.
Alerts you get
When the count changes, you get:
- The board’s alert tone. Each board can have its own tone, so you can tell them apart by ear.
- A desktop notification with the old and new counts. Click it to jump to the tab.
- A flag on the tab: its title starts with the change, such as ▲ +5, and its icon turns into an amber arrow.
- A sign at the top of the page with the new count, and an amber outline around each new load, if you set up rows for highlighting.
- A flashing Chrome window in the Windows taskbar, or a bouncing icon in the macOS Dock.
If the refresh button disappears 3 times in a row, which usually means you were signed out, you get a warning sound and an ERR badge.

Tips for dispatchers
- On a call? Click Snooze alerts 15 min in the popup. Monitoring continues, and the tab flags still show what changed.
- Away from your desk? Turn on Repeat the sound until I look at the tab in Settings.
- Watching several lanes? Open each search in its own tab and start monitoring in each. The popup lists every monitored tab, with changes first, and Go to tab switches to one.
- Missed something? Settings > Activity lists every change with its time.
- Keep tabs awake: if you use Chrome’s Memory Saver, add your boards under Settings > Performance > Always keep these sites active.

Troubleshooting
- Find automatically picked the wrong element.
- Click Pick or Re-pick next to that step, then click the right element on the page. After you pick, use Select parent or Select child on the green panel if the outline isn’t quite right.
- The count reads the wrong number.
- Re-pick the count and click the number itself, or the line around it, such as “Showing 1–50 of 245”. If the board shows no single count, use Pick a row.
- The badge shows ERR while I’m signed in.
- The board changed its layout. Re-pick the refresh button.
- I don’t hear a sound.
- In Settings > Alerts, click Test sound. If it’s silent, check that Chrome isn’t muted in your system’s volume settings. Snooze also silences alerts.
- Desktop notifications don’t appear.
- On a Mac, open System Settings > Notifications > Google Chrome and turn on notifications. On Windows, open Settings > System > Notifications and turn them on for Google Chrome. Focus modes can hide them.
- An element can’t be picked.
- If the board loads its list from another site, the popup shows Allow access. Click it, then pick again. A few sites build their pages in a way extensions can’t reach.
- The board ignores the extension’s clicks.
- A few sites accept only clicks from a physical mouse. The extension can’t work with those sites.
- Monitoring stopped.
- Monitoring stops when you close Chrome, and when the free trial ends without a subscription. Open the popup and click Start monitoring.
